
The Monumental Plaza de Toros deLas Ventaswith a capacity of 25.000 spectators,is the largest bull arena in Spain, and one of the most important in the world.
Built in neomudèjar style, with bricks on sight, the arena is decorated with ceramic tiles and some ornamental motifs representing the coat of arms of all the Spanish provinces.
The official inauguration of the arena took place on 21stOctober 1934, although the first bullfight was held 3 years before.
The bullfight season begins in March and goes on until October.Feasts are generally held on Sundays and public holidays.. The top of celebrations takes place between the half of may and June, on the occasion of the fair of San Isidrowith a bullfight every day.
Since 1951 in the middle of the square, the Bull Museum is hosted, with a complete collection of props and tools related to the world of bulls and to the history of the square .
