

The MuseumBaron Hans Heinrich Thyssen-Bornemisza and the other to the baroness Carmen Thyssen-Bornemiszafor a total of more than 1000 works by famous artists the likes of Caravaggio, Rubens, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Van Eyckand many others.
The exhibition is hosted inside Villahermosa Palace , following a chronological order from the upper floor to the ground floor, beginning with an important collection dedicated to the Italian pictorial art, with masterpieces by Simone Martini, Bramantino, l Ghirlandaio,Tintoretto, Bronzino, Caravaggio and many others.
The halls on the ground floor are reserved to cubist, futurist and surrealistic works, as well as to the contemporary movements of the '50s and ‘60s, with works by Pollock, Rothko and Kooning.
The buildings close to Villahermosa hosts the collection of the baroness, which counts over 200 works by Flemish artists like Van Dick and Brueghel, as well as some impressionist paintings by Monet, Renoir and Degas.
