Muralla de Madrid

The Muralla consists of the rests of an ancient Muslim defence-wall,raised up between the 9th and the 10th century, and a Christian wall of the 12th-13th century.

From calle Bailèn you can reachCuesta de La Vega, revealing only one part of its origin bulk, which was supposedly much bigger than the one we see today, but still it can give an idea of its original majesty.

Inside the Arab walls are the alcazar, the mosqueand theEmir house.
